I met someone today, that I never thought I could.

Dr. Kagan,
This is the letter I wrote to you the night I was leaving to go to get married.  Just by seeing the big beautiful smiles in your office I felt none of you really knew how sad I was.  I had not even bought a wedding dress less than a week before my wedding day.  I was so embarrassed about my teeth I did not even want to get married.  I surely did not want any pictures of myself.

You changed my life in ways you will never begin to imagine.  I never smiled because of my teeth, so people thought I was mean, or mad.  I could see people look at my teeth and I would pull back.

Now, every person I walk up to smiles at me.  I'm sure it is because I smile all the time.  I am the same person, but because I am not so embarrassed, the real me is able to be seen by everyone I meet.  thank you so much, all of you.  I used to be afraid to come to the dentist, and now I can't wait to see you guys.  Thanks again!
